Quote of the Week

The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think - rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with thoughts of other men. ~Bill Beattie

Quote of the Week

‎"We hold in our arms the rising generation. They come to this earth with important responsibilities and great spiritual capacities. We cannot be casual in how we prepare them. Our challenge as parents and teachers is not to create a spiritual core in their souls but rather to fan the flame of their spiritual core already aglow with the fire of their premortal faith."
Neil L. Andersen

Liberty's got Talent!

James and Andrew spent a couple of days on this very detailed picture! Isn't it fabulous?

Look at the amazing way they captured the tiniest detail on the armor....

The dragon looks incredible!!! Way to go boys!

Tori and her amazing magnet people!

Mikael worked long and hard on this masterpiece! Took a lot of patience!! We love how creative these kids are!

“Millions of men have lived to fight, build palaces and boundaries, shape destinies and societies; but the compelling force of all times has been the force of originality and creation profoundly affecting the roots of human spirit.” ~ Ansel Adams

We are "erupting" some learning FUN!

For our big science project this summer we studied about volcanoes! We learned how they are formed, the "anatomy" of a volcano, where most volcanoes are found and we learned about the Scientific Method! We put what we learned to the test with our little scientists as we built our own volcanoes and made them erupt! Each volcano was so unique and the children had a lot of fun watching how each one flowed differently depending on how they formed their volcanoes! We had a BLAST!

LEADERSHIP

A leadership education teaches students how to think and prepares them to be leaders in their homes and communities, entrepreneurs in business, and Statesmen in government.

Liberty Youth Academy uses a model of personalized study of Classics, where we read, write and discuss. Our Mentors only accept quality work. By doing this, we set the example of good character and duty.
